AI and Data Science as a Lever for Occupational Hygiene: From Routine to Expertise

News   04-02-2026

Today, Daan Huizer, CEO of Chemrade Software BV, spoke at the symposium of the Dutch Society for Occupational Hygiene (NVvA) in Zeist to an audience of occupational hygiene professionals and industry experts.

His message was clear: AI and data science can help make occupational hygiene more attractive and future-proof.

By taking over routine and error-prone tasks, professionals gain more time to focus on what truly requires expertise: critical thinking, professional judgment, and specialist knowledge.

At Chemrade, we are developing practical applications to support this transition: from intelligent processing of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to automatic classification of substances on regulatory watchlists and AI-supported decision-making for CMR substitution policies.
